Sellers Engineers are world leaders in the design and manufacture of finishing machines for the Carpet Industry with extensive global references.
The Company is privately owned with a Board of Directors who have extensive knowledge of the Textile Industry. Between the five of them they have over 170 years of service with Sellers Engineers.
David Armitage (Chairman), Ian Shaw, John Mosley and Neil Miller are all based in Huddersfield. Sellers of America is headed up by Charles Armitage the youngest member of the Board, but still with 20 years experience in the Carpet Industry.
The Sellers Company was established in 1912 (over 99 years ago) to serve the local Cloth Industry, but now over 80% of production is for carpet finishing machinery. In 1984 Sellers of America was established, based in Dalton, Georgia, right in the heart of the American Carpet Industry.
Today Sellers offer an unrivalled range of carpet finishing machinery, including:
- Coating, Drying and Shearing Lines for all carpet types, carpet tiles and artificial grass products.
- Their in-house design and manufacturing facilities allow for customized equipment to meet particular client product requirements and enable Sellers to offer an excellent technical back-up and sales service.
- These facilities include: a mechanical and electrical/electronic design office; machining; fabrication.
This design and manufacturing process is carefully monitored to meet current European quality and safety standards and requirements and is in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001: 2008, CE Mark, and EMC Conformity.
